SICR works alongside rural communities from the very beginning, securing the funding and supporting the planning and execution that make programs possible. The projects below represent communities we have partnered with to write grants and help deliver direct services.

Health Literacy | Clayton, Fort Deposit, Linden, Yellow Bluff, York, AL

Completed spring 2024. SICR secured funding and supported the planning and execution of a health literacy initiative across five rural communities, with a focused effort on increasing COVID-19 vaccinations and educating youth about health and wellness.

Workforce Development | Fort Deposit, AL

SICR wrote and secured a grant from the Delta Regional Authority and supported the planning and delivery of workforce training for water and wastewater workers in the region, building local technical capacity in a critical infrastructure sector..

Alabama Summer and Afterschool Program (ASAP) | Linden, AL

SICR is a partner in the FY26 ASAP grant, a collaborative initiative serving students and families in Linden, Alabama. Working alongside lead organization Linden Bridges Ministries and Linden City Schools, SICR delivers family engagement and support services, program evaluation, and data reporting, connecting families to resources, ensuring accountability, and building community connections that help children thrive in and out of the classroom. The grant runs through September 2026.
